How to install PartsPal Get Quote Form on Wordpress.

PartsPal Get Quote Form is a good way to keep customers even if you don't have the part available online. This tutorial guides you through installing the form on your Wordpress store.

Step 1: Install the PartsPal plugin

  1. Go to the Plugins page, click Add New, search for PartsPal, and click Install Now on PartsPal – Smarter Auto Parts

  2. When it has installed, click Activate

  3. There will be a banner at the top of the page that says "PartsPal installed successfully. Set up PartsPal" - click the "Set up PartsPal link

  4. Click Connect PartsPal to WooCommerce, then click Approve

Step 2: Add code snippet to your site You will have to install a few snippets of code. If you have difficulties doing so, you can reach out to the team at support@parts-pal.com

Code editor

Start by heading to the Wordpress code editor. To do so, select the menu" " on the top right of the page. Select the code editor, or Ctrl + Shift + Alt + M

Insert this code snippet into your page code to enable PartsPal functions.

<ngx-element
   class="parts-pal"
   selector="home-vehicle-selector"
   data-role="partrequest"
   ></ngx-element>

The code will vary depending on the page, so if you're not familiar with basic html, there might be a little trail and error. The PartsPal team can help to implement this if any difficulties are encountered.

Step 3: Customisation

There are a few customization options. Edit the code above to add the following options. For example, using all of them:

<ngx-element
    class="parts-pal"
    selector="home-vehicle-selector"
    data-role="partrequest"
    data-additional-selector="categories"
    data-layout="vertical"
    data-fitment-mode="15"
    ></ngx-element>

Category Dropdown

This adds a drop down for the user to select a category.

data-additional-selector="categories"

Force vertical

This forces the selector to be displayed vertically, with each dropdown on top of each other rather than side-by-side. By default, it only changes to vertical when the window is a certain width or skinnier.

data-layout="vertical"

Change the dropdowns

By default, only Year | Make | Model dropdowns are available. This allows users to select more.
